Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced that government school teachers in the state will be sent on annual foreign study tours as part of efforts to improve the quality of education.
The Chief Minister said teachers will visit countries with advanced education systems to learn modern teaching methods and bring new ideas back to government schools. The initiative aims to strengthen the state’s education sector and provide students with better learning opportunities.
According to Revanth Reddy, teachers who show outstanding performance will be selected for the study tours every year. The government is also planning to increase the number of teachers participating in the programme in the coming years.
The Chief Minister further urged teachers to encourage students to learn foreign languages such as German, Japanese and Korean, saying these skills can help them access better career opportunities across the world.
The Telangana government said the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to modernise government schools and improve the standard of education across the state.
